What it is
The BiPartislant is a daily media literacy publication. Every morning we take the top three stories of the day and show you how CNN, MSNOW, and Fox News each cover them — what they emphasize, what they omit, and what framing they apply. Then we tell you what is actually true, as plainly as we can.
Our slant is down the middle. That is not a marketing line. It is the entire point.
Why it exists
Most Americans are not getting the news. They are getting a version of the news shaped by the outlet they trust. That is not a conspiracy — it is just how media works. Every outlet has a perspective. Every headline is a choice. The BiPartislant makes those choices visible so you can make your own.
We do not tell you what to think. We show you what you are being shown — and what you are not.
The scoring
Coming soon: a BiPartislant Score for any article or media source. Left-leaning coverage scores 1 to 39. The middle scores 40 to 60. Right-leaning coverage scores 61 to 100. Feed us an article and we will tell you where it lands and why.
The bubble tool
Also coming: enter up to 10 media sources and how much time you spend with each daily. We will calculate your personal BiPartislant score and tell you which bubble you live in — along with what you might be missing.
The team
The BiPartislant is an independent publication. No advertisers. No political backers. No agenda other than showing you what is there.
